Ziji�s creative fire is fueled by the diverse talents and backgrounds of its founders: Nansi Aluka, Katerina Gabbro and Lisa Fabian. Coming from different parts of the world the trio met in LA � their passion for art and many shared inspirations brought them together as a team. The designers collaboration is key in crafting the unique look of each piece. The philosophy behind their creative process is defined by the essence of the word ZIJI, which means �confidence, shining out with dignity�.
The ZIJI look is characterized by simplicity and funk, a deconstructed approach to classic tailoring. Luxurious fabrics are used with casual elegance and feminine silhouettes carefully balanced with masculine details.

CaApparel: Ziji Designs - Three is not a crowd for the designers at Ziji. Launched last spring as a skirt line, the first collection was a solo effort from Nansi Aluka. Katerina Gabbro joined the team for the second collection and Lisa Fabian made Ziji a trio for Spring 2006.
