Based in Los Angeles, Wilen is a vintage inspired knitwear line that serves as a crossover resource for contemporary to young resource for contemporary to young designer customers age 20 and up.
Owner and designer Brooke Wilen often hand-knits her initial concept designs and researches vintage knitting methods to create both traditional and nontraditional silhouettes. A full line of feminine separates include sweaters, dresses, skirts, pants and short-shorts in cashmere and Italian novelty yarns. This season, look out for a high-waist tank dress made with T-shirt yarn on top and layers of wrinkled and T-shirt yarn in the full skirt. Another piece is a flowing cashmere poncho with draped-front panel sleeves that can be worn or tied as a wrap.
