A play on the slang term “wife beater” used to denote a men’s ribbed tank, Wifebeader elevates the most casual items with couture hand-detailing. Designed by Laura Dahl, who is known for her ability to make classic items modern and edgy, Wifebeader delivers effortless style to denim addicts and fashionistas alike.

Inspired by world travel, Laura uses the traditional techniques of ethnic decoration and “tweaks” it to create her own abstract expression. Though she uses semi-precious stones such as pearl, quartz, coral, ebony and citrine, commonly found in Indian and African beadwork, Wifebeader delivers an aesthetic that is modern, fresh, and unique to its brand - boasting a cheeky sense of humor while remaining slightly understated and always sophisticated.

Wifebeader’s accessorized tops are one-of-a-kind pieces that are functional, comfortable and classic, ensuring they will fit right into every woman’s busy life.

A Las Vegas native, Laura Dahl currently designs out of her Meatpacking District studio in New York and has plans to make the company bi-coastal with a studio in Los Angeles. An easy-going, positive force, Laura stays busy as Creative Director for her two brands, but always finds time to ride her horses, roller skate, dance, travel and paint. It’s clear that Laura’s refined energy and playful grace are the essence of the Wifebeader lifestyle.
