Vena Cava's Fall 2011 collection is the perfect blend of laid-back 90′s chic and moody beatnik style with a modern edge. Inspired by the designs of Donna Karan, Giorgio Armani, Azzedine Alaia-style, the collection focuses on the elegance of the 90's, featuring squared-off necklines, sleeve cutouts, and berets, crafted by Brooklyn-based millinery Yestadt.
Californian designers Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock started sewing their first Vena Cava collection on their living room floor three weeks after graduating from the Parsons School of Design. With a slight vintage feel, Vena Cava is known for putting a fresh spin on classic looks and mixing them with an artsy palette. Based in Brooklyn, the design duo seeks to make simple, elegant and wearable clothing that illuminates the woman inside the outfit.
