Sisters Satu and Celeste Greenberg were born in San Francisco and raised in a rural northern California town, Seiad Valley, CA (population 350), which inspired them to create their own clothing and accessories. Watching MTV and reading magazines, they did not have direct access to buying the items they saw and read about so they had to get creative and began to shop in thrift stores. Since early on they would rework these finds into innovative, modern pieces that their friends would always rave about and want them to replicate for their own.
