The original Matrix Fillmore opened in 1965, as one of San Francisco’s trendiest nightclubs and the recently renovated sultry lounge does its legacy proud by remaining one of the city’s classic after-hours “It” spots.

The revamped Matrix Fillmore exudes the young sexy vibe of a club you would find tucked away in Manhattan, and its clientèle is as equally as chic as a scene right out of Entourage. Dark-wood aromas and closet-like booths with presumptuous privacy curtains heat up the sultry mood of the candle-lit lounge. Grab an infamous homemade “Spice-Tea Mojito” and a seat by the fireplace for a cozy night with a ticket to the best seat in town for glamorous people watching.

Like most Bay hot-spots, Matrix Fillmore is the craziest on weekend nights. If you are looking to mingle with fellow San Francisco fashion aficionados, then Friday and Saturday nights are the way to go. Just don’t let the omnipresent line discourage you--the Matrix Fillmore is definitely worth the wait.
