The Funky Buddha Bar is the healthy way to party. Colorful decor, music and atmosphere are all served up alongside organic drinks, teas, and wines, a smoke-free atmosphere and a state-of-the-art air filtration system.

The Funky Buddha lounge is the only clean air certified night club facility in the city of Chicago. Their filtration system is the finest available and tobacco products are nowhere to be seen. The Funky Buddha serves more organic and chemical free spirits than anyone in the country. They have a complete line of organic juices, teas, and sodas. All of their wines are either organic or come from chemical-free grapes.

The atmosphere is a combination of a lounge and upscale dance club with antique light fixtures, chandeliers, murals of seductive women, a dimly lit bar, steel cocktail tables and a flickering assortment of candles and lights.

The club is divided into two small rooms, the first with a long bar against one side of the wall and an array of comfy couches and chairs for lounging. The second room has a mid-sized dance floor with a bar toward the back and an entrance to the roped-off VIP section.

Owner Mark Klemen offers a lively atmosphere in a laidback, loungy space thanks to an eclectic roster of hip-hop, house, reggae, electronic, Latin, jazz and funk deejays and live bands that cater to a diverse crowd.

Gorgeous Moroccan decor starts with an enormous Buddha sculpture done by local artist, Suhail. Long black leather and faux leopard skin banquettes and ottomans line the wall opposite the main bar; a curtained booth in each of the front window bays flanks the entrance. The center room contains the heartbeat of this eclectic club with a thumping dance floor and amazing soundsystem.
