ChocolateBox Cafe

La Canada's ChocolateBox Café has set up shop in Malibu. This second location for the gourmet chocolate maker will be a full-service café at Malibu's Lumber Yard. The shop will display its edibles as if it was a high-end jewelry boutique and will have a full menu of sandwiches and salads to complement purchases of its artisan chocolate. There is even a hot chocolate bar where visitors can choose between 12 varieties like chili pepper and ginger, all made from actual chocolate shavings.

The quality of these chocolates are truly unparalleled. From the variety that is offered (I am loving the chili pepper chocolate, and the champagne can't be beat) to the friendliness of the staff, this location has only been open a few days but is already as polished as the beautiful chocolate boxes that they sell. The gourmet salads and sandwiches are incredibly inventive and flavorful as well, and the gift boxes are the perfect way to give a treat to that special someone.

ChocolateBox Cafe is the perfect place to grab a gelato on a hot summer day, or for a warm and delicious cup of their famous hot chocolate at the "Hot Chocolate Bar" after a movie at the nearby Malibu movie theatre. They are open until 10PM every night!
