Lisa Sisco and Carolyn Berluti, the duo behind Family Jewels, are two sisters from a large, close-knit Italian family. Drawn to the many varieties and textures of both new and vintage beads from around the word, Sisco and Berluti began stringing bracelets as a way to satisfy their creative passions. They created sets of 7 bracelets, one representing each member of the family, and called them “Families”. At first, the bracelets were a personalized way to gift family members and friends, but quickly became a coveted commodity through word of mouth among discerning consumers and buyers of high-end boutiques.
