When creating the Satya jewelry collection, CEO and co-founder Satya Scainetti wanted to design pieces that represented the beauty and truth of each customer. Raised in a large family of artists, Scainetti’s passion for jewelry design began at a very young age. She moved to Manhattan to pursue a career in fashion and began working at fashion accessories houses where she was able to hone her skills as a designer. With interests in philanthropy and yoga, Scainetti attendended a 35 day Sivananda yoga teacher training in the Bahamas where she was given her spiritual name, Satya, meaning “truth.” Feeling inspired to create a change in the world, she approached her friend Beth Torstick Ward to co found Satya Jewelry in 2002. With each piece of jewelry sold, a portion would go to children and families living in impoverished countries. Today, with over $1 million donated, Satya has provided hope, change, and opportunities for people in need.
