Saint Grace's Biography

Designer and owner, Quinn Thompson created Saint Grace in December 2001 in the City of Angels. Influenced by the burgeoning Los Angeles fashion scene, Quinn conceived the line to add a bit of funky sophistication to what was then the current market for women.

The refers to Quinn’s favorite girl’s name, “Grace” – a name Quinn hopes to bestow upon his first daughter. “Saint” was prefaced to illustrate his affection for Grace and his love for women in general.

Inspired by the washed and worn tees of the 70’s, the first core collection received overwhelming accolades from edgy retailers and trend-setting fashionistas up and down the West Coast. Saint Grace was clearly blessed.

By sourcing buttery fabrics to replicate that vintage feel and adding off-beat, bright colors to chic silhouettes including camisoles, t-shirts and tanks, Quinn established the three design principles for the Saint Grace woman: Color, Feel and Fit.

Today, Saint Grace contains over 100 styles including tees, trousers and dresses that are sold nationwide at upscale boutiques from Lisa Kline and Fred Segal in Los Angeles to Intermix and Big Drop in New York City.

Quinn Thompson was born in Olympia, Washington in 1970 where most of his childhood was spent on the family’s 84-foot schooner, “Martha”, formerly owned by James Cagney.

Greatly influenced by his parents – his mother, a former art gallery owner and his father, a painter and Harley Davidson enthusiast – Quinn was the beneficiary of superlative taste and arbiters of style.

Quinn is the proud collector and owner of a ’69 Harley Davidson named Rose, a ’67 Nova and a ’50 Chrysler.

Quinn Thompson truly lives the Southern California lifestyle embodied by his collection – Saint Grace.
