Plenty by Tracy Reese

New York fashion designer Tracy Reese was sewing by the age of six in her Detroit hometown. Now, the forty something year-old designer is creating some of the most fashion forward garments with two labels under her belt.

The signature line bears her name Tracy Reese which she affectionately calls TR, and her more moderately priced line is called ‘Plenty’. The lines are available at Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom’s, Saks Fifth Avenue and Macy’s West among others. On a recent appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Tracy’s clothes were touted as a celebration of the glamorous life - soft, elegant clothing swathed in feminine sensuality. Oprah heralded Tracy’s creations as “feminine chic with a vintage flair that has Hollywood taking notice.” “ That was definitely a milestone in my career,” smiled Tracy when we chatted in her New York office. “Being featured on Oprah was definitely good for business, and to meet her...it was like meeting your idol, I look up to her as a woman who has achieved everything and she’s got so much integrity.” Tracy is definitely on her path with major success as a young Black woman weaving her way up the fashion ladder. Her annual sales topped $12million last year and with her creations on sale in some 300 stores globally in the USA, Canada, Japan, France, Hong Kong, Germany, London and Australia, Tracy is poised and ready to rule the fashion roost.
