Michelle Jonas

Founded in 2005 in downtown Los Angeles, Michelle Jonas Travelwear is a premium resort wear line with a stylish and easy-to-wear design. Jonas, a self-proclaimed “Army brat,” considered seven countries home by the time she was sixteen years old. From a very young age, Jonas spent time with her mother while she sewed clothing for family and friends, and Jonas’ first job in New York City was in fashion advertising/marketing as an assistant account executive where she worked on the Donna Karan account. This eventually led to a job in freelance styling where she was asked to join the Vanity Fair styling team and where she was offered a position at Vogue. As she climbed her way up the ladder in the fashion industry, Jonas began to realize her true passion for design so when she was offered to work with Ralph Lauren to develop the “Ralph” line, Jonas gladly accepted. After working with Lauren, Jonas decided to pursue acting and relocated to Hollywood where she landed roles in films while she styled celebrities on the side. After a few years in LA, Michelle started her own clothing line, MiJo, which evolved into Michelle Jonas Travelwear. While everyone else in fashion was producing denim and tee shirts, Michelle chose to target the resort market, creating a California-cool style brand.
