The Skinny on J Brand Jeans

The Fifties are mentionable for more than just gourmet Flambe, poodle skirts and Marlon Brando (when he was still hot). But take a note from Sandra Dee and flip your tired denim boot cut style this season for a sleeker silhouette. Jeans are getting skinnier and skinnier, turning the modern silhouette upside down.

The Cigarette and Skinny jean are wrapping themselves all over celebrities like Sienna Miller, L-Lo and the like. Clean, classic denim in a leg-lengthening slim cut look fierce in your favorite wedge or pump. Lindsay Lohan's favorite, J-Brand is the leader of the pack in Skinny denim with a deep blue Ink Wash so blue you'll swear it's black. Paired with a long sweater and military jacket these are pretty much required for this year's wardrobe!

If J-Brand's skin-tight fit isn't your cup of tea, Joe's Jeans makes a beautiful Cigarette jean that offers a bit more room but still maintains your street cred. Another favorite, Rock & Republic has followed suit with their Berlin style jean that still features their fabulous gold R's right across your best asset.

Remember to pair cigarette and skinny jeans with a tall heel or a cool ballerina flat for a lean shape. Look for simple washes and denim treatments in rich blues, pale greys and black blacks.

This look is easy to get a hold of when you embrace the basics and then accessorize on a whim. Besides, it only took Sandra Dee like three movie minutes to transform into red-hot Sandy status. But then again a montage usually helps.
