Celebrity Style Blog: Yes It's True, There Will be a Second Album

As Paris Hilton made her appearance at the beach in Malibu on July 14, she treated the sandy shore like it was the end of a runway (gotta love the heels in the sand- pure Paris). Wearing a shiny, silky purple bikini (Brette Sandler's Richie Bikini in Rose Gold -named after Nicole perhaps?- is a similar shiny suit in a semi-scandalous almost nude color. I'm sure Paris would approve.), with aviators, a Fendi headscarf, and a navy blue tunic (Brette Sandler also makes a tunic that is reminiscent Paris', the Nikki Tunic in Navy), P.Hil also brought along her new Yorkie, Cinderella, for a day of beach-time fun. Now I know I've been saying how I'm waiting for this new changed woman to emerge, and actually, as shocked as I am to be saying this, it seems that she might be starting to emerge! Paris was seen yesterday heading to Los Angeles Children's Hospital with her aunt Kyle Richards, hoping to bring a smile to a child's face. Cute! It seems like Paris has also been busy taking voice lessons, and meeting up with producer Scott Storch once again. As Paris told E! Online, "I'm already working on my new record." While her first album was only a marginal hit, selling 600,000 copies and producing the summer single "Stars Are Blind", Paris hopes that with this album people will take her more seriously as a musician. Only time will tell!

Style Tip: Getting Knotty

Summer tresses are getting knotty with an ultra-modern interpretation of the classic chignon. Popping up like charmingly untidy rosettes amongst fashionista coifs everywhere, this trend is spanning the gamut of high-low fashion from Armani's Fall '07 catwalk to throbbing clubs across major sartorial cities.

There is two distinct ways to attempt the romantic little bun, messy and fancy free or sleek, wet and futuristic. Messy coils will require dirty hair and a good spritzing of hairspray while the wet-look is achieved by running a deep-conditioner through damp hair and using lots of bobby pins.

A few styles to try:

The Rosette: Separate select sections of hair (the width of your pinky) and twist into a coil to form a small bun. Secure with bobby pins (a small elastic adds extra support). Coil in clusters of odd numbers by the face or ponytail. Add tiny clusters of flowers for a midsummer's look.

The Asymmetrical: Secure hair in a side ponytail close to the face. Twist and wind the tail around itself forming a flat bun. Secure with pins and finish with extra-hold hairspray to keep your smart new look. This looks especially fetching with sleek, conditioner-treated hair.

The Colorist: This one is a bit more adventurous but adds a bright POP! of color to hair, perfect for experimenting with this year's early-nineties glam-revival. Choose a bright pair of tights (acid-yellow, pictured). Some colors to try: electric blue, tangerine, magenta etc. Sweep hair into a high ponytail at the crown of the head, separate hair into two sections. Twisting both your hair and the tights, twist each section and pin securely.

Designer of the Week: Woo

Northern California native, Staci Woo moved south after studying art at the University of California, Santa Barbara. While in school, Staci worked at a local swimwear company and made her splash into the fashion industry. However, her real break came in 1995, as assistant designer to Adriano Goldschmied for A. Gold E.

"It was a humbling experience," she says of her days in the trenches. "I was young. Adriano taught me not just about design, but how to see things. He'd rush into the office holding up a pair of dirty blue jeans or an old tee shirt and exclaim, 'Do you see it! Isn't it fantastic!?'"

While toiling for Adriano, Staci began crafting on her own. She whipped up sling bags for personal use that soon became coveted possessions of friends and family. One became two, two three, and thus, in 1997 Woo was born. By 2002, Woo had collected a smart following based on simple yet innovative uses of recycled cashmere and vintage aloha prints. From what began as a bag and intimates collection has now expanded into a unique and fresh line designed for those seeking casual luxe. Each piece is an essential; created with the softest supima cottons and tencels mixed with lace trimming and inspiring prints.

Woo compliments every contour of a woman's body in a sophisticated and feminine approach. Her delicious materials are perfect for living and enjoying life to its fullest! Check out the latest from Woo like her flirty Kai Dress or the versatile, Gina Dress in Fiji to name a few.

Woo has gained a huge celebrity following including, Jessica Biel, Lucy Liu, Rebecca Romijn, Charlize Theron, Kate Hudson, Kelly Hu, Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson, Nicole Ritchie, and Mischa Barton. Woo has graced the pages of fashion magazines like Cosmopolitan, Fitness, Fit Pregnancy, Glamour, In Style, Los Angeles, Lucky, Organic Style, Shape, and WWD and can be spotted on today most popular TV shows like Desperate Housewives and the OC.
