Bilson Might Finally Be Over Brody

When Rachel Bilson split with Adam Brody, it took her a while to move on, but then she was spotted with Hayden Christensen and suddenly the two were "dating". While Rachel and Hayden remained mum about their status many believed this was all a stunt to drum up publicity for their upcoming film. But this was a few months ago, and Rachel has rarely made public appearances since then. Now, Rachel was photographed in the arms of an older mystery man leaving the Argyle Hotel in Hollywood last night- and giving him a goodnight kiss! Now, let's not jump to conclusions just yet, this could just be a friend to whom she's giving a little peck. But then again, this doesn't reek of a publicity stunt like the whole Rachel/Hayden romance did, so maybe Bilson is finally over Brody and over pretending with Hayden? Time will tell! Earlier in the night, Rachel attended an event in Los Angeles and happily posed for cameras looking as cute as ever. In a loose-fitting top (reminiscent of Gold Hawk's Summer Breeze Top) and wide-leg jeans (like Kasil's Chelsea Jean), Rachel truly let her accessories take center stage: a delicate necklace, a lime green Hermes cuff and a white clutch with python detailing (Antoinette Lee Designs' Vita Stitch Clutch and Carla Mancini's Python Clutch are similar bags to Rachel's). While Rachel is definitely looking adorable, I am eager to see her in some new projects- you can't ride that "OC" gravy train forever, Rach!

Style Tip: Cleopatra of the Style

I'm blaming this entire cosmetic phenomenon on Amy Winehouse; the sultry Nina Simon-siren who croons "from the kitchen floor". If you've been sequestered in a desert retreat somewhere and haven't heard the exceptionally cathartic album, Back to Black, I highly recommend obtaining a copy. Equally appropriate for car-signing and wild pashing, this album is perfect for steamy trysts.

Was it the chicken or the egg? Or in this case, was it the incredibly experimental, Boy-George-inspired makeup from across the pond that influenced Amy's eyes or Amy's signature cat eyes that spawned the UK makeup fad? Then again, it might have been Diana Ross, but I digress.

Back to the Style Tip, choose a liquid eyeliner (we like CoverGirl's LineExact) in either black or blue (love blue for blondes) carefully line the top lid only. If you've never tried liquid eyeliner before, comparable to walking in heels, this takes mega-practice. The first million times attempted, you will look like a gothic clown but just persevere. Newbies keep Q-tips and eye-makeup remover handy. Drag the line out as far as you prefer. Try experimenting with different shapes or add color a'la Alexander McQueen. Finish off lashes with mascara and your Cleopatra look is ready for her close-up.

Designer of the Week: Jessica Elliot

Jessica Elliot has struck gold with her fabulous eponymous line of must-have jewelry. Born and raised amongst Hollywood's film industry, this actress-turned jewelry designer discovered an inherent skill for creating beautiful trinkets that capture the nonchalant glamour of Tinseltown. Unique design ideas like casting antique keys to create fresh, edgy baubles have firmly planted Jessica on the Hollywood star map. Jessica's creations have added sparkle to the gamut of Hollywood's elite including Lindsay Lohan, Tyra Banks, Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria, Ashlee Simpson and Paris Hilton.

Her design mantra keeps her fashionista following in mind:

"I love to design pieces that are the focus of an outfit as opposed to an afterthought. I also design with the idea that jewelry is an investment, so I don't make things that will go out of style in 6 months. I try and create with a timeless appeal, so you feel good about putting it in your wardrobe every season with different clothes coming in and out of your closet. And you can dress the jewelry up or down."

Check out the latest from Jessica Elliot at CoutureCandy, we adore new styles like the press-gaining Art Deco Wing Necklace, a delicate gold wing studded with gems. It's this marriage of sophistication and utility that keeps It Girls coming back for more.
