In Stitch’sJuly 26, 2006Maybe our tights got all bunched up during kindergarten recess, or one day that plastic headband made a permanent dent, but somewhere along the way we decided that comfort wasn't always going to take a back seat to fashion! Enter Stitch’s Denim and their new Fall line that feels as yummy as it looks. Stitch’s has a knack for capturing a graceful moment of Americana; a kind of slouchy elegance that can only be described as, quite simply, cool. This fall, they've rolled out an acclamatory collection in styles like their Chekore Sexy Flare (available in a rainbow of soft corduroys and lived-in washes), the Chekore cut-off pant, and the whip-lasher Seminole Slim Fit. With new hues like fiery Red, a muted Desert Taos, and sophisticated Green Tea, there is a color to suit everyone’s fancy. So whether you're wearing your Stitch's out for a beer with your man, or hanging at home ogling a young Steve McQueen in Bullitt, you'll look great and feel super-comfy. Now, if they only made high-heels. |

A return to our denim roots. After the success we earned developing Da-Nang Surplus, we decided it was time to return to our denim roots. We searched throughout Europe, Japan and the United States of America to secure the finest and most unusual indigoes for Stitch's. You will discover that our denim has undergone extensive washes using patented processes. Our denims are aged in antique redwood barrels at an old laundry facility in Evansville, Wyoming, which is just a few miles east of Casper. The plant was built in 1948 and had remained idle for the last 23 years. Of course, unusual indigo is just part of our story. We use real brass buttons and fittings. In fact, our buttons are modeled after antique coins minted in the 1880's. We chose the Buffalo Head side of the five-cent piece for the buttons on our men's jeans, which are named after U.S. States. The buttons on our women's jeans, which are named after Native American Tribes, feature the Indian Head from the other side of the coin. And naturally, all of our leather products are hand stitched and tooled. You won't find Stitch's just anywhere. We've partnered with a handful of select retailers around the world. In creating Stitch's, we also spent a lot of time contemplating what the West really means. Stitch's is our interpretation of the Old West, fused with equal parts Rock 'n Roll and Americana. You won't find this vision of the West in the history books or in the vintage photographs of Horace Poley. But, this is the way we see it, and in fact, it looks a whole lot better. |
