CELEBRITY STYLE BLOG: TWO NECESSITIES IN LIFEIt overjoys me to say that Lindsay Lohan seems healthier and happier than I've seen her in a really long time. I don't know exactly what it is, it just seems like rehab has done her a world of good. Linds visited Peets Coffee on February 4th and was all smiles. Before that, she made a pit stop at Coffee Bean on February 3rd before attending an AA meeting. She went to the meeting sporting her new favorite shirt, The Secession's I Uzi LA Tee in burnout black (she wore the white and black version of the same tee in late January... CoutureCandy is the exclusive online seller of these tees!), with high waisted blue shorts, white aviators, a heart necklace and slouchy grey boots. Making constant strides in Wonderland while still shooting her upcoming stripper thriller, I Know Who Killed Me, Lindsay has also allegedly been texting Nicole Richie and Kristin Cavallari's ex, Brody Jenner, from rehab and telling him that she only wants two things... McDonalds and sex. And always the gentleman, when asked to comment Brody said that he doesn't "text and tell". Who knows if Linds got her wish, but considering her rehab center is in LA, it's more than likely that she got these two simple requests! |
DESIGNER OF THE WEEK: FABIAN y FELIPEThe lifelong dream of two friends, the accessory line Fabian y Felipe is imbued with a relentless passion for design that both men share. Hailing from Argentina and Mexico both bring an aesthetic rooted in the traditions of their cultures. Each piece is exasperatingly considered with the most enchanting details handmade by the designers and their beloved family members. To enjoy a unique Fabian y Felipe piece is truly to enjoy a work of art. Using a tableau of angel wings, saints, religious themes, classical mythology, skulls and hearts a powerfully symbolic piece of jewelry is born. A signature style is crafted in necklaces, belt buckles, rings and charms in what seems to be a centuries-old medal of honor. Their unique designs have been scooped up by some of Hollywood's A-list crowd including admirers like Uma Thurman. Best of all, Fabian y Felipe is truly a labor of love that every customer will enjoy for years to come. Check out the latest in their gorgeous 2007 line at CoutureCandy. |
STYLE TIP: GAME ONContrary to the norm of the flamboyant, somewhat impractical runway creations, designers showcased a realistic trend that included a surprisingly notable dose of sportswear for spring! Mixing luxurious pieces like cashmere scarves with a running pant or a more modern gladiator sandal (nylon instead of Chanel's omni-photographed leather) was just the fresh start spring fashionistas were searching for. The look is easy to borrow and emphasizes one of the zero-decade's key fashion rules: Anything goes. No matter what you wear, choose something with a surprise. Perhaps completely inappropriate but sublimely well considered, juxtaposition is an essential element. Playing with the sporty look is a snap! Try mixing in sportswear pieces with your everyday ensembles. In the same breath it's time to approach sportswear shopping with a new eye. Many name brand athletic companies have turned to top designers for a designer approach to sportswear; i.e. Yohji Yamamoto for Adidas and Norma Kamali for Everlast. So take notice of chic styles in athletic shoes, activewear and even cool accessories like a tennis bag. Mixing in sporty adds a dash of carefree cool and is extra comfy too! |
