Maya Brenner is the founder and designer of maya brenner designs. A native of California,Maya always loved stones and beads. After pursuing a career in Social Work, she returned to her initial love of jewelry.

Since launching the business in 1998, her jewelry line has grown and is now sold at stores nationally and in the UK and Japan. Major retail clients have included Henri Bendel, Fred Segal,and Anthropologie.

Her jewelry has been on "Alia"s, "Friends", "The Today Show", "Desparate Housewives", "American Idol", "The Bachelor", "Las Vegas", "Crossing Jordan", and "The O.C." regularly appears on E! Entertainment Television.

Maya Brenner's jewelry has been featured in The New York Times Style section, Glamour, Women's Wear Daily, InStyle, Lucky, In Touch, Ladies' Home Journal, Bust, Cosmopolitan, Woman's Own, Daily Candy, and US Weekly magazine. She has also had articles written about her career on CNN.com and About.com, and has appeared on Good Day Live's "Style File".

Maya won Fashion Group International's 2001 Rising Star Award, joining the ranks of the design industries' most noteworthy newcomers.

In 2003, Maya became a mother to baby Jack, inspiring her to create the gold and silver charm necklaces that have been selling out nationwide. Most recently, Maya was hired to be the head designer of Luxe Jewels - a direct sales company that sells jewelry making kits, showing people how to create the trend setting jewelry that Maya is known for.
