After cutting her teeth in the fashion houses of Catherine Malandrino, Cynthia Rowley and Anne Bowen, Laura Dahl chose to carve out her own niche in the fashion world. Laura's first brand, Wifebeader, took off with immediate recognition from Bloomingdales and Anthropologie not to mention the best specialty boutiques. Named with a cheeky sense of humor, Wifebeader has since become a byword in fashion circles for abstract and edgy hand-detailed designs.
While continuing to expand the Wifebeader line into a must-have item for denim addicts and fashionistas everywhere, Laura's vision and talent drove her to start a higher-end line. Laura's namesake brand is clean and sophisticated while still retaining the quirky edge of Wifebeader. With the initial season carried at Nordstrom's Savvy department, Laura Dahl is truly coming into it's own with the Fall '07 Collection.
Laura herself has continued to do the impossible. She runs her business with passion and has recently made the move to New York's Meatpacking District. She designs four collections a year each for the two brands and cherishes quality time with her husband and their furry four-legged friend, Cuddles. Laura also enjoys quick retreats back to her Las Vegas roots to visit the family, their ranch, her horses and goats. The ever positive force, Laura is blazing a trail few will be able to follow and 2007 will be another extraordinary year for Laura, Wifebeader, and Laura Dahl.
