Kasil Jeans

In the past, trying to find the perfect pair of jeans has consistently topped the list of near-impossible feats, yet worn-out denim shoppers need not look any further as Kasil shows us that there really is a stylish, comfortable, flattering and affordable jean out there. Coming out of a professional background in tailoring and an education in Fine Arts, designer David Lim has mastered the formula for the ultimate jean. With each new fit, Lim undergoes more than 20 rounds of trial-and-error in order to find the best combination of measurements, cut and color. “It starts with the pattern – taking as little as quarter of an inch to an eighth of an inch off the waist just to get the right fit,” said David Lim, Kasil’s designer. Each style is initially cut for an average size person, paying extra attention to fit, comfort and detailing of the jean to create the perfect fit for all body types.

Kasil uses only high-quality 12 to 13-ounce ring spun denims, twills and cotton knits from produced in mills located in the U.S., France and Japan. All pre-production samples are wash and wear tested to ensure only the highest-quality jeans are produced.

Aside from its superior cut, Kasil surpasses other denim lines with its detailing such as the K-GOLD thread, the two-tone thread used to create the jean (also the finest thread used in the denim industry) and it’s signature stitching patterns as seen on the back pockets. Kasil is an ongoing study of how something as ordinary as denim has progressed into a true test of design and concept, and will always be Evolving Denim Identity©.

WASHES

Kasil jeans are available in five basic washes: Rinse Born, a raw dark denim in the first stages of its life; Atlantic: rich deep blue denim; Baltic: a medium blue; Pacific: lighter, warmer blue and Destruct: a vintage-colored denim that is hand-abrasioned to give an aged-look.

WOMEN’S COLLECTION

Kasil’s Regular Boot Fit is a universal fit for every body type that fits slender through the thigh and gradually opens up to a 20-inch boot opening. In an effort to combat the perpetual nuisance that every woman faces with pants, the back is cut a little higher to prevent the gaping (and exposing!) that happens when you sit. The cut features an 8-inch rise and a 31 to 34-inch inseam. Sizes range from 23 to 32.

The Boy Cut is designed for those straight-bodied women as it sits low on the waist and fits straight through the leg, opening at a slightly narrower 17 inches. The fit has a rise of 7.5 inches, a 31 to 34-inch inseam and is available in sizes 23 to 32.

The Slim Fit is a straight leg jean that is slender throughout the leg to create a lean and lengthened look. Sitting just below the waist at an 8-inch rise, the Slim fit has at a 31 to 34-inch inseam with a 17-inch boot opening. Sizes range from 23 to 32.

Kasil’s Season’s Back Collection features a Kasil signature design as subtle accents of printed cottons and corduroys cut into the back pocket, giving its wearers a limited-edition jean of their own distinctive look. The jeans are available in the Regular Boot Fit and Slim Fit, and are available in the Atlantic, Baltic Destructed and Atlantic Destructed washes.

The Diamond V Collection brings us Devoted, Kasil’s most popular jean. Cut as a Regular Boot Fit, Devoted flatters the body and lengthens the legs, and features the signature chain stitching on the back pockets for an added touch of style. The Diamond V stitching is a symmetrical arrow-like pattern that is designed to draw attention down to the legs, thus creating a more slender look. Devoted is available in either the Atlantic or Baltic wash.

Perfect for enlivening a spring wardrobe is Kasil’s Cloud 9 collection with jeans in colorful spring hues including bright pink, pale pink, Kelly green, light blue, mint green, khaki and white. Cloud 9 is available with both the Season’s Back and Diamond V detailing.

The Coast-to-Coast Collection features the Regular Boot Fit and the Boy Cut in the Atlantic and Baltic washes with Kasil’s original wave stitch detail on the back pockets.

The Cameron jean is a Regular Boot Fit with a flap back pocket detail, and is available in both the Pacific and Atlantic washes.

Devious, a Slim Fit jean with the signature Kasil Diamond V design embroidered on the back pockets, has a splash of Lycra added to the denim to give the jean ultimate flexibility and comfort. Devious has a slightly smaller boot opening (16-inches), and is available in the Baltic and Atlantic washes.

Jocelyn is a Regular Boot Fit jean in the Atlantic wash with an image of a hawk (also Kasil’s logo) sanded onto the back pockets.

Camille and Eleanore trick the eye with their mock flap back pockets. Camille is a Regular Boot Fit cut whereas Eleanore is a Slim Fit jean with one percent of Lycra added for extra flexibility. Both are available in the Atlantic wash.

Stepping apart from the basic fits is Bobbie, a Regular Tapered Fit jean with a 12-inch boot opening with one percent Lycra for an added touch of elasticity. For that extra touch, Bobbie features Kasil’s signature Diamond V stitching on the back pockets. Bobbie has an 8-inch rise, a 31 to 34-inch inseam and is available in sizes 23 to 32.

Kasil’s denim skirts are the most versatile and comfortable staple for every girl’s spring wardrobe. The Coast-to-Coast collection brings the Hampton skirt, which has the signature wave stitching detail on the back pockets, and the Cambridge Destructed skirt with the Diamond V pattern embroidered on the back pockets. Both skirts are a classic knee-length cut (18 inches) with an 8-inch front slit cut and a touch of Lycra added for comfort and flexibility and are available in the Atlantic wash. Sizes range from Extra-Small to Large.
