With over ten years of experience in the fashion industry, Karen Zambos has created a unique line of vintage inspired pieces. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Karen Zambos moved to Los Angeles where she became a buyer and creative stylist for the Tracey Ross boutique and where she quickly realized that women wanted to feel comfortable while looking chic and stylish. Inspired by the originality and comfort of vintage designs, she began to remodel vintage clothing, beginning with antique slips which she hand-dyed and sold at Tracey Ross. With the launch of Elegantly Waisted, Karen’s line of unique belts, her career as a designer quickly took off and she started the Karen ZAMBOS line which includes knit halter dresses, cozy wraps, tube tops, and trousers. Using textures and fabrics reminiscent of her favorite flea market finds, the collection remains true to her roots as a vintage clothing re-designer. And even more important, the Karen ZAMBOS line is based on her motto: comfort is key. She believes that women will look and feel confident and sexy when their clothes are comfortable. And celebrities like Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson, and Nicole Richie all agree that comfort is a must for that sexy confident feel.
