Karanina Convertable Halter Dress Featured in InStyle Magazine
Inspired by a Halston design from the seventies, Kara Smith and Nina Firestone— the Los Angeles designers behind the Karanina label— created a flexible frock for their spring 2005 line. Depending on the way you tie the straps, you can alter the style of the dress. Made of silk jersey, the halter dress is also flattering on most body types. It has a fitted bodice and a full circle skirt, which work well whether you have full hips or not. If you have a bigger bustline, try crisscrossing the straps in the back for added lift. Less endowed women have more room for creativity, such as loosely tying and twisting the straps, then letting them hang in the front or the back. Available in green, coral, yellow and blue.
