Designer Heather Suminski began designing jewelry as a little girl at the age of seven and it has remained a passion ever since. Her private passion became public when friends showed interest and she gave her jewelry to them as gifts. Friends wore her necklaces to work and ended up taking orders right off their necks as the public demanded them. With this overwhelming response, she decided to launch Jewel by Bear in spring 2005. Valued customer Erin Leighton already owns three Jewel necklaces and exclaims, "I love the bird! It's the cutest necklace I've ever seen and it's different!
