IISLI is a combination of the names of its husband and wife team, Nelson and Sisi Li. Visually, the logo communicates the collection’s aesthetic classic, simplistic lines.
Sisi's background as a choreographer and as a classical musician shapes the IISLI point of view. Nelson earned his reputation in the fashion industry for his extensive knowledge of knitwear and textiles. He also uses his attenuated eye in building an eclectic collection of modern chairs. This synergy of aesthetics and tailoring expertise is embodied in IISLI's signature knit blazers and sweaters. The complementary nature of their collaboration facilitates Sisi to be the architect and Nelson to be the engineer.
The spirit of IISLI's vision is conveyed through the fusion of style and ease. To the touch, IISLI clothes are friendly, rich and comforting. Visually, they are a vibrant palette of color, often bold and daring. Masculine and feminine are juxtaposed throughout the line in fabrics, silhouettes and design details to create effortless classics.
IISLI debuted in February of 2003.
