Created in 2000 in Los Angeles, California, Corey Lynn Calter is a truly unique brand offering flattering cuts, original prints, and bright colors. Growing up in Philadelphia, Corey began designing her own clothes at a very young age, drawing on inspiration from the “punk scene” to the Victorian clothes hanging in the vintage shops she visited. Corey began her training at a high school for performing arts where she majored in fine art and continued to New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology where she graduated with awards for Best Women’s Sportswear. She was soon spotted by “Sex and the City” stylist Patricia Field and asked to design for her boutique which eventually led to work for Broadway shows, Operas, and Ballets. Opening the Corey Lynn Calter line in 2000, Corey quickly gained a base of fans including celebrities like Jessica Alba, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, and Kate Hudson. Each collection features some small narrative, including lines like “Hawks,” “Tropic Nature,” or “Tiger Lily.” Featuring unique prints and colors, each narrative collection tells a story of a truly beautiful line of clothing.
