Jewelry designer Christie Martin has been creating jewelry since she was in elementary school. She began to macramé chokers and earrings, giving them as gifts to her family and friends. While attending college at San Francisco State University, Christie began her first jewelry business “Sangiorgi Disegni.” Studying metal smith, her work began making its way into galleries, museums, and even the White House, warranting a thank you letter from Hillary Clinton. After graduating, Christie’s love of fashion took her to New York where she interned and then worked for Vass Ludacer. After honing her skills, she was ready to start a new business and ready to go back to California. Becoming an owner in a Fred Segal store in Santa Monica, California, Christie found a partner to begin the jewelry line “Segal Martin.” After a couple years she was ready to be on her own and thus Christie Martin Jewelry was created. Beginning in elementary school with wax cord and wooden beads, Christie was now using sterling silver and a torch.

The Christie Martin Jewelry line quickly took off with features in almost every major magazine including Elle, Lucky, InStyle, and Marie Claire as well as on the covers of Rolling Stone, Maxim, and Seventeen. Her custom stamped and graffiti style has gained a huge celebrity following of women like Beyonce, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson, Jewel, and Christina Aguilera.
