Newcomer Jessica Stroup, star of the new "90210," hit up Nylon Magazine's TV Issue Launch Party at the Tropicana Bar in the Roosevelt Hotel back on September 4, working the red carpet like a pro and seeming to be overwhelmed by all of the attention she was getting! Sporting navy blue nails and black and white patent heels, Stroup showed some skin in a strapless black and white mini (for similar frocks, check out Karina Grimaldi's Keyhole Silk Mini Dress in Theodora Black, Lotta Stensson's Shirred Mini Tube Dress in Black, and Betsey Johnson's Mini Dress in Black) accessorized with a single gold bangle (check out Danielle Stevens Jewelry's Alligator Bangle in Gold). Jessica has caught a lot of flack lately for seeming to be too skinny, and I would love to know what you think, dear readers- I know she is thin, but is she too thin? Weigh in. No pun intended. While Stroup is sure to break out as one of "90210"'s newest stars, she is speaking out about working with "90210" O.G.'s Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth. She says, "Both have been incredible to me— and to the rest of the cast. Coming from where I'm from, I love my privacy and security and my friends, but being in the entertainment industry, I have to understand that I've never hit a mark where the press wants to know who I am. I welcome it, and I'm excited about it, and hopefully it means that I'm doing good work. I talked to Jennie about it. On one of our longest days, I was kind of in a daze in the makeup and hair trailer and she came over and said "You know, kid, you're doing great and I'm proud of you, and I'm excited to work on the show with you." So she's kind of like a big sister to in me in real life." Aww! Of Shannen, she says, " Shannen is hilarious. At our launch party, she came in, and people were wondering, "Where's the drama?" There is no drama; they're over it. I love hanging out with Shannen; she just cracks me up." Sounds like one big happy family!
