"The City" cutie Whitney Port was spotted picking up some healthy treats at Whole Foods market in New York, looking quite animated while gabbing with a girlfriend. For her "summertime in the city" look, Whitney (always the fashion eccentric) opted for a slightly oversized menswear vest (like Gold Hawk's more fitted Men's Vest in Solid Black) that she then belted (Rough Roses' Leather Strap Belt in Black is very similar to Port's) and paired with colorful, patterned short-shorts (if you are looking for a great pair of brightly colored shorts for the summer, check out Paige Premium Denim's Mariposa Short in Flare, and these also come in a cool pool blue shade, Piscina, as well) and black and pink satin ballet flats embellished with bows. For Whitney's finishing touches, she snagged an oversized, fringed shoulder bag (very similar to Linea Pelle Collection's Janis Shoulder Bag in Vintage Brown) and, a la Lohan in the entry below, piled on a ton of bangles on her right wrist. What do you think of Whitney's look here, does the bulky and almost a tad rumpled vest overpower Whit's small frame? Or do you like the combination between the ultra-girly shorts and the more masculine vest? While Whitney is coming to be known for her style these days, she posed for the July/August issue of Woman's Health Magazine and dished about her own personal sense of style. Says Port, "It's a mix of West Coast and East Coast styles, with a little vintage flair. I also use lots of color. People get into a rut wearing the same thing day after day. It’s important to try something new — even if it’s just adding a pop with a vivid top." What do you think, do you agree with Whitney's style sentiments?
