Enjoying their family tradition of weekend brunches, Jessica Alba was spotted with her husband Cash Warren and a very grumpy looking Honor Marie at John O’Groats in West Los Angeles on Dec 13. Have any of you eaten at this glorified diner recently? It has quite a reputation, but I’ve been disappointed every time I’ve eaten there. Between what you pay for simple omelettes, what you get and what effect it has on your stomach, there’s nothing good I can say! Maybe that’s what little Honor is so upset about? Layering up for the chilly LA morning, Jess wore a cozy grey cardigan (try Rails’ comfy Anika Top in Grey or Qi’s Yoke Cabled Scoopneck Top in Storm) under a cropped black leather swing jacket (like Gold Hawk’s Ruffle Leather Jacket in Moonless Night), trying out a pair of loose fitting rolled cuff jeans (Desert Blue’s Boyfriend Jean in Saloon Fairmount is a great pick that you can roll yourself) with black boots. It’s too bad the bottom of her jeans are blocked by the stroller, because this might be the first time I think the trend has been executed well! Not too baggy, not too distressed – Jess got the look right and makes it effortlessly LA appropriate. Completing her look with classic hoop earrings (try Michele Michel’s Hammered Hoops in Silver), black Wayfarers and a slouchy blue cap, Jess carried the ultimate mom essential, a Prada diaper bag, as she pushed Honor’s stroller back to the car. If you haven’t seen Jessica’s highly publicized shots for the 2009 Campari Calendar, be sure to check out Jessica’s smokin’ hot bod, shapely gams and whittled waist… and then comfort yourself with the reality that the photos are 100% airbrushed. It’s impossible to deny from the on-set candids that were released and the final result that some serious Photoshopping took place, and it’s a shame to send the message to women worldwide that we need to be more perfect than we actually are. Do you think it was wrong of Campari to airbrush the photos?
