The always pretty and polished Olivia Palermo was photographed in NYC on May 17, chatting on her phone while taking her dog Mr. Butler for a walk on a sunny day. Olivia wore a pair of leather shorts (get the leather look with a pair of coated jean shorts, such as Bleulab's Reversible Shortcut/Curve Short in Carbon) paired with a slouchy sweater (take your pick between Brandy Melville's Anna Loose Knit in Seafoam and Acrobat's Long Sleeve Open Knit Sweater in Marshmallow), and then slipped into a cute pair of low heels and toted a textural tan bag. A pair of simple sunglasses and a gold cuff (try Jessica Elliot's Open Clover Cuff in Vermeil) finished off the stylish socialite's ensemble. What are your feelings about this outfit, everyone - yay or nay? Olivia recently graced the pages of Vogue Italia for a beautiful editorial spread, and the accompanying article attempted to give a bit of Olivia's history to readers. "The Palermo phenomenon originated in 2006, when she was paparazzied by the omnipresent Patrick McMullan at a charity event in New York. She is fresh, delightful, chic, and also has a good pedigree (her father works in real estate, her mother is an interior designer, she did an internship at Vogue when she was younger), she lives between Connecticut and the Big Apple and went to the best schools without ever gaining her degree; in short, she is perfect to enter the throng of socialites." For those of you wondering about Olivia's background, there you have it!
