Carrying some election info and proudly sporting her “I Voted” sticker, Christina Aguilera made her way to the ballot box on Nov 4 with her hubby Jordan Bratman in Beverly Hills earlier this week. Wearing a very coordinated look, from the shoes to the lips, one word comes to mind: Overdone. Mamaguilera started with a funky plaid newsboy cap, layered a red tank under a sheer black one (try Laura Dahl’s fancier Isadora Tank in Black over Black Halo’s Shirred Halter Top in Red) with a cozy tunic cardigan on top (like Zoa’s Open Drape Cardigan in Black), and added classic indigo skinnies (try ProportionofBlu’s Cinque Buttercup Fit Jean in Indigo) topped off with matching red patent ballet flats. The ‘fit might have been okay if she’d left in at that, but throwing in a long charm necklace and hoop earrings with charms in addition to the crimson pout – too much. But hey, at least it looks like she’s finally taking a break from the tanning booth. As her greatest hits album release on Nov 11 looms closer, photos are out and the jury is in: Mamaguilera’s new covershots for “Keeps Gettin’ Better” are her hottest yet, definitely blowing BritBrit’s post-baby body out of the water. Christina must have worked hard to get her tummy that toned again! The new compilation has all the classic Mamaguilera hits from “Genie in a Bottle” to “Ain’t No Other Man,” along with two new tracks that are supposed to be a taste of what we can expect her next project to sound like, set for release next year. Christina said, “My last record “Back to Basics” was all about going into the old and the past. This one I wanted to do a whole opposite direction and go into the future. So, I was very inspired by that.” I hope moving into the future will also inspire her to ditch the harsh lipstick and fake-tanner in favor of an au naturale look!
