TOYS FOR BRANGELINA’S TOTS

Out for an afternoon of quality bonding time with her son Maddox, Angelina Jolie headed to the Little Toy Shop in New Orleans on Nov 30, picking up a bag full of goodies for Brangelina’s ever expanding brood. Wearing what can best be described as an unflattering sheath dress (try the much classier Color Block Mini Jackie O Dress in Ash by Black Halo), Angie was uncharacteristically happy as she exited the shop – when was the last time she smiled that convincingly? Back to the dress, I have no idea what possessed her to wear something so tight that does absolutely nothing for her figure besides fuel pregnancy rumors. I must say I do like the barefoot illusion of her nude flats (although Matiko’s Adena Flat in Black would look perfect with the Black Halo dress)– she just needs to lose the dumpy dress! Angie’s mirror framed aviators and black messenger bag (Carla Mancini’s Wavy Top with Braid Handle and Front Pocket in Grey Crocodile is a fun twist) add a much needed dash of cool to her ‘fit, giving me the impression she might have had some extra time to put her look together on her trip down south. Glancing in a mirror might have helped the dress situation, but at least she’s wearing color again! A few weeks ago, Angie made some surprising statements about lessening her workload to focus on her family: “Nobody should ever say “I’m retiring…” so it’s not as dramatic as that. It’s been a year since I’ve worked and I’ll work for a few months and maybe it will be another year, maybe two, and I’ll just work every once in a while… I feel very lucky… that I’m financially able to not work all the time.” She should feel very lucky, but I suspect her feelings may change after the 2009 Golden Globes! Both Angie and Brad are up for awards, with Ang nabbing the nomination for her starring role in Changeling. If you’ve seen the flick, do you think Angie deserves the award?
