TONED DOWN FOR OPRAH

"The Hills" starlet Kristin Cavallari was photographed in good spirits while leaving a glam session at the Neil George Salon in Beverly Hills on August 18, although I am a bit perplexed as to why KC was donning a scarf and leather jacket on this sunny summer day? If anything, Los Angeles has been hot and muggy lately, and definitely not leather jacket weather! In any event, Kristin started with a simple white dress (similar to Interlud's Empire Sleeveless Dress in Antique White or Susana Monaco's Ballerina Dress in Sugar) under a black leather jacket (try Diesel's Lelio Leather Jacket in 900), and paired with studded nude leather sandals, a thin yellow scarf (like A Graves' Colt 45 Scarf in Pink), black shades, and Alexander Wang's coveted studded bag. I think that Kristin actually looks lovely here, a definite step up from some of her more questionable stylistic choices. Anyone remember this one? In other Kristin news, KC is posing in a spread in the September issue of O, The Oprah Magazine, going a completely different route than co-star Heidi Montag's recent spread in the September issue of Playboy. While Heidi's spread encouraged her to ditch her clothes, Kristin's photoshoot features a much more covered up Cavallari. The reality vixen is featured in a spread titled "Runway To Reality," in which she rocks a look that's called "Feminine Frills." Of her transformation, Kristin says, "It’s sexy without being in-your-face. It has class." In addition to KC, other reality stars posing in the spread are Kim Kardashian, "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi, "Work Out" member Jackie Warner, Claudia Jordan from "The Celebrity Apprentice" and "Deal or No Deal" and former "Bachelorette" Trista Sutter.
