Christina Aguilera came out to show her support for girl power at Variety's 1st Annual Power of Women Luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills on Sept 24. Arriving in a very demure ensemble, Mamaguilera showed off her curves in a lacy LBD with a wide waist panel (check out Graham and Spencer's Sleeveless V Neck Techno Dress in Black or C&C California's Nicolette Dress in Black with Jack Rabbit's Icon Belt in Black) and classy peep-toe Loubs. Christina accessorized with a few bangles (try Alex and Ani's Set of 7 Signature Expandable Wire Bangles in Silver) and some eclectic rings (opt for a unique shape like Michele Michel's Adjustable Rose Ring in Silver), keeping her hair and makeup very conservative compared to what we're used to seeing, with just a dash of red lipstick and nail polish. In contrast to Mamaguilera's show-stopping looks of yesterday, I'm a little surprised to see her playing it so safe here with a simple LBD – especially among so many fashionable ladies! Down to the crimson pout and matching soles of her peep-toe Loubs, this look is too predictable, but it's suitable for the event so I can't be too mean. What do you think of her super short bangs? Besides attending what Variety describes as "an intimate group of Hollywood’s most philanthropically impactful women," Christina has been busy crafting her new album, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have time for charitable pursuits. Mamaguilera will appear in a new World Hunger Relief campaign, lending her face to posters displayed in several fast food chains across the nation. The next time you dine at KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Long John Silver's or A&W you will have the opportunity to make a donation to this worthy campaign. I just wish charity didn't involve consuming greasy fast food in the process!
