Wearing a glamorous canary yellow dress, Beyoncé Knowles lit up the stage at the Fashion Rocks show in New York on September 5. Performing hits from the past including Etta James’ “At Last” and stunning the crowd with her duet with Justin Timberlake, “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing,” B’s performance culminated when she took the stage with 15 other divas to perform the new charity single, “Just Stand Up.” The new single and the proceeds from the Fashion Rocks show benefit the Stand Up To Cancer foundation to raise funds for cancer research – quite a noble cause! To achieve B’s dramatic look, try a fun yellow frock (like Ella Moss’ Piper Dress in Daisy or Tricia Fix’s Angelina Cocktail Dress in Radiant) paired with chunky jeweled earrings (try Rachel Leigh’s toned down Mesh Square Drop Earrings in Gold) and a classy pair of heels (like Matiko’s matching Mona Heel in Yellow). For the fashion and music themed gala, Beyoncé tried out a new ‘do, returning her brown locks to blonde and teasing the roots sky high in an attempt to emulate Etta’s signature ‘do. How do you feel about this glam rendition of the past – can B pull it off or would she have been better leaving her brown tresses untouched for the event?
