Busy on a promotional tour for her new movie For Colored Girls, British actress Thandie Newton appeared Tim Palen’s Living Portraits opening night reception at the Lehmann Maupin Gallery in NYC with her castmates on October 24, and the following night she attended the premiere of the film at the Ziegfeld Theatre. For her first ensemble, Thandie wore a bright green dress (like Boulee's Dolores Tube Dress in Turquoise) under a vintage leopard print coat (try a modern trench like Walter's Khaki Flocked Trench in Multi), and accessorized with embellished heels and a layered necklace (get the look with one of Amrita Singh's stunners, like the Cheya Necklace in Gold or the Wisteria Hampton Necklace in Evergreen). For the film's actual premiere, TN opted for a minimal yet chic Calvin Klein Collection maxi dress (get a similar frock with Tt Collection's Christophe Double Layer Gown in Black/Taupe) with matching heels and a few gold bangles (like Alex and Ani's Set of 7 Signature Expandable Wire Bangles in Gold). I'm leaving it up to you, readers - which was Thandie's better look? As I'm sure you've heard, Mariah Carey finally confirmed that she's preggers, and she might have Thandie to thank for making the statement! You see, Thandie appeared on "The View" to discuss the film, and the topic turned to why she stepped in to replace Mariah. Thandie said, "I think she is pregnant." Once Thandie realized that she might have revealed too much, she added: "Or something major is going on in her life, so I carried the baton for her. I only had two days to make a decision to play it." Oops!

This new format is harder to read and seems to leave less room for the photos, but that may be an optical illusion. Also there is a lot of white (wasted) space below the comment section next to your site's sale merchandise. Honestly, the font is too small for me to read. Please redesign it?guest on Oct 29 2010 @ 02:12 AM
