TEENS CAN CHANGE THE WORLD

It seems like every celeb was in London for one reason or another over the past week, and Taylor Swift was no exception, arriving at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards 2010 on November 14. In contrast to her dazzling red carpet gowns at the 2010 CMA Awards and the BMI Country Music Awards attended just a few days prior, Taylor channeled a sweet, vintage vibe at the London awards show. Starting with an ivory all over lace dress (similar to Luc by Lucy's Back Zipper Lace Dress in Military Green), T added a brown skinny belt at the waist (like Murphy's Daughter's Skinny Belt in Espresso) and wore a pair of old fashioned tie front heels (check out the similar design of Farylrobin's Gladys Mary Jane Flat in Charcoal). Pulling her trademark curls to the side, Taylor added a petite pair of earrings (add a femme touch with Lisa K Designs' Flower Earrings in Gold) to complete her look. What do you think of T's low key style, is it appropriate for the event? During the awards show, Taylor took the stage to perform some current and past hits, including "Speak Now," "Mine" and "Love Story." The BBC show is different from some of the biggest US ones, like the Teen Choice Awards for example, because it honors not only teen celebs but also inspiring everyday kids who've helped to make a difference in their communities – like 16 year old Jack Bennett, who won an award for setting up a farm for free-range chicken. Taylor shared her support of teens like Jack and other award winners at the show: "I think that an event like this really encourages teens that they can change the world and they can make a difference. It's wonderful to see so many vibrant, passionate people here who just happen to be young." Looks like it's not a crime anymore to be young and idealistic!
