TAYLOR ON THE TODAY SHOW

Taking the stage at the Today Show in New York City on May 29, Taylor Swift rocked Rockefeller Plaza, where fans waited in rain gear to see her belt out hits including “Love Story” and “Should’ve Said No.” Taylor arrived in a belted khaki trenchcoat, quickly shedding it once things heated up onstage to reveal a flirty sequined racerback mini (if you love the teal hue try LaROK’s Studded Dream Dress in Eden, Misile’s Amsterdam Dress in Midnight Teal, or Walter’s Pleated Ruffle Poly Dress in Turquoise). Making it a little edgy with black knee high boots and a thick black beaded cuff (like Ettika’s funky Leather Knot and Faceted Metal Bead 3x Wrap in Black), I can’t deny Taylor looked pretty cute while dancing around onstage. The sequined mini looks seems to be all over the place this season (Katy Perry, Eva Longoria and Paris Hilton are just a few who have sported the completely sparkly look lately), but with the boots and jacket Taylor makes it day-time appropriate and I like that. Although Taylor looks as young and fresh as ever onstage, she was still awake two hours before she was supposed to be up for the show wasting time on her MySpace blog: “So.. This is not smart. This. Being awake at 2:47 AM. You know why? Because my wakeup call is at 5:00 AM. I’m playing on the Today show tomorrow/in a few hours, and I’m very excited about it. So excited, in fact, that I haven’t really gotten around to sleeping.” At least she’s honest while wasting time on the web! Were any of you up early enough to catch her performance?
