Taylor Momsen

Taylor Michel Momsen (born July 26, 1993) is an American child actress and model. She portrays the character Jenny Humphrey on the The CW television series Gossip Girl. Momsen was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Collette and Michael Momsen and lives in Potomac, Maryland. Her younger sister Sloane Momsen is also an actress. She began acting professionally at age 3, with a national commercial for Shake 'N' Bake. Then she got a role in The Prophet's Game. In 2000 Taylor got the role of Cindy Lou Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Two years later she got parts in two more motion pictures: Hansel & Gretel, in which she played Gretel, and Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams, in which she played Alexandra, the President's daughter. Taylor's career came to a halt for over three years until she got the lead role in the never-aired The WB series Misconceptions. In 2002, Momsen recorded "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" & "One Small Voice" featuring Myra & Camille Winbush for School's Out! Christmas. Momsen appeared in the 2006 film Saving Shiloh and as Molly in the 2007 Walt Disney Pictures film Underdog. She currently plays the character of Jenny Humphrey in the CW television series Gossip Girl, which is based on the book series by Cecily von Ziegesar. In June 2008, at the age of 14, Momsen signed to IMG Models.

Taylor Momsen was spotted, along with co-star Leighton Meester, at the New York City premiere of the upcoming comedy Sex Drive last night, October 12, looking fresh and youthful as always. Accessory wise, Taylor wore a pair of black peeptoe heels and kept the jewelry to a minimum, pairing a dainty silver necklace (White Trash Charms' Cute As A Button Necklace in Sterling Silver must have been named after Tay Tay!) with a few rings and a wrap-around bracelet (like Accessories & Beyond's Magnetic Leather Bracelet in Black). Not sure how much I'm loving Tay's current cut, there's kind of an 80's-mullet vibe going on, no? Either way, this girl is definitely one to watch. While there have been rumors spreading on the internet lately that Taylor is looking a little bit too thin, the young starlet is speaking out about how she is "naturally thin." Taylor says, "I mean, I’m just kind of naturally thin. My mom’s really thin, and I’m tall. Good genes- I just eat healthy. I walk a lot because I live in New York. So I try to walk a lot instead of taking cabs. I should probably start working out or something. I dance, so I guess that’s a full workout. My favorite on "Gossip Girl" (sorry, Blair), Little J, also known as Taylor Momsen, was spotted strolling around Soho sipping a Redbull on September 22, looking chic and edgy and way beyond her mere 15 years. Sporting Alexander Wang's Baggy Denim Shorts (check out True Religion's similar Sophie Short in Dark Drifter) with a black sequined tank (like LaROK's sheer Beaded Tank in Black) and a biker-esque leather vest (Gold Hawk's Ruffle Leather Jacket in Moonless Night is similar), Tay-Tay accessorized with a guitar pick necklace, black shades (similar to Nour's Baba Sunglasses in Oro Bianco), and black lace up booties avec black socks. Who knew Little J had this edginess in her? Loves it! Later that night, Taylor attended the Metropolitan Opera’s 125th Season Opening Night Gala at the Lincoln Center Plaza, looking stunning in a bright red tiered silk Marchesa gown with matching cherry red lips. Taylor is definitely not living a typical 15 year-old's life, wearing thousand dollar designer gowns and attending opera galas... another day, another soiree for Little J!
