Enjoying some time off with the fam in Brignoles, France, Angelina Jolie was spotted taking Maddox grocery shopping on September 29. Making huge waves in the fashion world in a shockingly bright dress…. Kidding. Surprise surprise, she's wearing another black maxi! This one is very similar to the maxi she wore on vacation in the same area in August, except that the ugly black lace ruffles are replaced with a more refined tiered skirt. There's nothing wrong with a basic black maxi for a casual summer or fall look, but if you must go this route at least add some innovation, like the unique cut of Lotta Stensson's 2 Layer Best Dress in Black (I happen to own this dress and it's fantastically flattering!) or a fun burst of color like Vava by Joy Han's Grace Long Tube Dress in Black. Ang also carried a black tote over her shoulder (try Marnie Bug's Helen in Black) and wore a loose chain bracelet (like Kimberly Faith's Flower of the Month Bracelet in Gold) that shines next to her mirror tinted aviators. What do you think of Ang's basic black 'fit? Later in the week Brad & Angie left the kids in France and made a UNHCR trip to Damascus, Syria, where they met with exiled Iraqi refugees and spoke to the media about how important it is for the international community not to forget about them: “Most Iraqi refugees cannot return to Iraq in view of the severe trauma they experienced there, the uncertainty linked to the coming Iraqi elections, the security issues and the lack of basic services. They will, therefore, be in need of continued support from the international community.” It's so refreshing to see Angie continuing to take her Goodwill Ambassador role seriously, especially as a working mom of 6. I guess all that's left to say is: how can we help?
