Celebrating her return to the Broadway stage, Ashlee Simpson strikes a pose at the INC Lounge after party in NYC on November 30. It was opening night for Ashlee's starring role as Roxie in Chicago: The Musical, reprising the same role from her 2006 run in Chicago in London's West End. For the part Ashlee is back to her straight raven locks, adding some bangs very fitting for the character! What do you think of the dark 'do? Sticking with the 20's theme, Ashlee wore a high necked LBD (try Juicy Couture's versatile Ruffled Tunic Sweater in Black or PGD Style's Rachel Turtle Neck Dress in Black) with sheer black stockings, shiny Chanel pearl accented patent pumps (like Samanta's Viv Pump Wide in Black Patent) and double wrapped pearls (love Brian Nagourney's White Pearl on Grey Cord With Knot in White). I can't help but absolutely adore the Chanel pumps, so emblematic for the time period. What do you think of Ash's throwback 'fit, does she work the part? For Ash's debut performance, husband Pete Wentz came out to her support her, as did proud parents Papa Joe and Tina Simpson, and of course big sis Jessica. After the show Ashlee joked with the press about how tired she was after the first performance, “I’m going straight home to ice my ankles!” Jess couldn't resist gushing about her little sis either, showing off her Kleenex supply in her purse from when she cried during the show because she was so proud of Ash. Awww! Are any of you New Yorkers planning on seeing Ashlee onstage over the next 8 weeks?
