"The City" cutie Whitney Port made an appearance at the L'Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival 2010 in Melbourne, Australia on March 20, rocking one of spring's biggest trends: really mismatched patterns! She started with a striped t-shirt (like Splendid's Bermuda Stripe Tee in Indigo) and paired it with a wildly exotic leopard print mini skirt (accentuate the cool indigo hues of the Splendid tee with RaMona LaRue's Alicia Skirt in Black Giraffe) and matching peeptoe heels. WP decided to pile on the jewelry for this appearance, by choosing sparkly earrings and an armful of bangles (check out CC Skye's Chloe Lock Bracelet in Black/Gold or Orka Messica's Gunmetal Chain Bracelet). Do you like Whitney's look here, and is this something you would choose to wear to a fun cocktail party or something of the like? It seems that Ms. Port has been having quite her fill of legal problems lately, considering the fact that she is being sued for over $90,000 regarding her clothing line. E! Online is reporting that "a former friend-turned-employee claims she's responsible for almost all of the designs [from Whitney's line]." They have gotten a hold of the lawsuit, which states, "The actual designs were virtually all done by Adrienne Baravetto, much of which was inspired by her own vintage clothing collection. Baravetto presented design ideas to Whitney Port, [who] made minor, if any, modifications to Baravetto's work. Baravetto is seeking $90,000 in back pay along with punitive and statutory damages." On the other hand, Whitney's lawyers don't seem to be too worried about the suit, saying it's "baseless and without merit." What do you think of this sticky situation? I think that Adrienne would definitely have some proof (sketches, inspiration boards, etc.) if this was true!
