STRAIGHTENING THINGS OUT

Turning even more heads than usual, country cutie Taylor Swift pulls a tress transformation at the 2010 American Music Awards held in downtown LA on November 21. T isn't normally shy about a little sparkle on the red carpet, but she looks particularly svelte here in this metallic studded Collette Dinnigan mini dress (shine on this holiday season in Sue Wong's All Over Beaded Mini in Rust/Black or Sky's Quinton Mini in Black) paired with decadent strappy Jimmy Choo stilettos (try a strappy style with seasonal versatility like Loeffler Randall's Parker Black in Black). Nude lips, heavily lined eyes and of course the super straight hair completes Taylor's dramatic look. What do you think of her transformation, do you like her with straight hair or do you prefer her girl-next-door curls? At the awards show T won the only award she was nominated for (big surprise!), picking up the honors for Favorite Female Country Artist. Gracious as always, in her acceptable speech Taylor thanked her fans for giving her one more reason to be thankful this Thanksgiving before sitting down at the piano to belt out one of her new singles "Back to December" off her new album, Speak Now. As far as speaking goes, in a recent interview Taylor declared that while there is a lot of speculation about which celeb exes she's referring to in some of her love songs, "The one thing that allows me to sleep at night is knowing that I've never confirmed who I write my songs about." Does that mean only they're supposed to know, and it's up to us to figure it out? With titles like "Dear John" (ahem, Mayer perhaps?), I don't think she's really keeping the cat in the bag on this one!
