STITCHES ARE NO FUN

There must be quite a few ladies with precious tresses pissed at Jessica Simpson right now – and reasonably so! Last weekend while dining at Madeo Steakhouse on Nov 1 with her mane man Ken Paves in West Hollywood, the paparazzi caused a little scuffle as the duo exited the eatery. As Ken tried to aid Jess through the crowd to her car, the commotion culminated in him getting smacked in the face by a camera! Jess whisked him off to Cedars-Sinai for stitches, and the next day he spoke of the incident, “While I did not expect a dinner out with friends would end up with me in the emergency room and nine stitches in my head, I am fine. My only real concern on Saturday night, and it remains so in retrospect, was for the safety of my friend and all concerned.” With those genuine comments, he’s also not pressing charges – very refreshing in a town of never-ending lawsuits! For her dinner ‘fit, Jess wore a cleavage enhancing grey strapless mini with a pleated front inset (check out Prairie New York’s Wool Strapless Dress in Charcoal), with a cropped leather jacket (like Gold Hawk’s Belted Leather Jacket in Moonless Night), sheer black tights and strappy black platform heels. Keeping her accessories minimal for once, Jess carried an oversized black tote (similar to Antoinette Lee’s Stella Bag in Black) and let her huge hoops do all the talking (for an equally dramatic look try Christie Martin’s Three Hoop Earrings in Sterling Silver). Not a terrible look altogether, but I’m not sure it works for her. I also have to wonder how Mr. Paves could contain himself sitting through a meal staring at that greasy head of hair Jess has going on here, and the equally ill fitting dress – what do you think of the busty look, love it or lose it?
