STILL ROCKING THE VOTE

On the eve of the first presidential debate, Christina Aguilera got all dolled up to host a massive “Rock the Vote” party at the Esquire House in the Hollywood Hills on Sept 25. Christina has been a supporter of the “Rock the Vote” campaign in the past, but this is the first time I can remember her making a statement louder than “Vote!” at an event. All I can think is my, someone had a little too much fun with peroxide and self tanner! Rocking a mod LBD with a contrasting white band (for a similar eyepopping effect, try Tricia Fix’s Rene Mini Dress in Black) and a chic cropped jacket (step it up with Gold Hawk’s Ruffle Leather Jacket in Moonless Night), Christina let her Genie out of the bottle with her knee-high stiletto boots, smoky eyeshadow, and heavily lacquered lashes. Seriously, how is she holding those peepers open? Mama-guilera finished her ‘fit with an envious black and white checkered bag (check out Antoinette Lee’s toned down Anna Stitch Tote in Bone/Black), big hoop earrings (try Kimberly Faith’s Large Open Hoop Earrings in Brass with Gold) and a chunky bauble ring (gotta love Rachel Leigh’s Scripted Ring in Silver or Gold). While hosting the event to encourage America’s youth to get to the polls on Nov 4, Christina promoted her upcoming greatest hits album release while touting the importance of making your voice heard: “Rock the Vote is obviously important to just to get the message out there to young and old — and especially to young — that your voice, your opinion does matter. It's important for me, it's important for the next generation — for my son's generation. It's important to people my age and my sister's age, 10 years younger. Everyone that is able to have an opinion should let it be heard and should voice it.” We hear you, Mama-guilera!
