Putting a fresh face forward, Jessica Simpson is spotted landing at Heathrow Airport in London with BFF Ken Paves on September 22. I know you're all wondering – including myself – what in the world she's wearing, but let's be gentle, it has been a hard week for Ms. Simpson after all! Getting into the comfort zone, Jess wore a brown capelet (try Rails' Zoe Capelet in Black) over a charcoal tunic (like Gold Hawk's Leaf Emy Dress in Grey Pewter) and sheer, cropped leggings with standard YSLs. I could see how the capelet might possibly be cute with a different outfit, but I'm puzzled by the black leggings and heels – wonder where she was going with this one? It even looks like she tried to coordinate the black purse with brown strap (try Carla Mancini's similarly designed Double Handle Bag in Black). I'm just going to have to go and give this one a gentle fail. How would you style this to make it work? I thought Jess might be landing for London Fashion Week, but from her recent Twitter updates it seems as though she and Ken were passing through the UK on the way to Africa to resume filming for her new show, "The Price of Beauty." Jess Tweeted from Uganda: WTF?!? Do I really have to sleep like this?" adding a pic of herself draped in mosquito nets. Hmm, the more foreign countries Jess travels to the more curious I am about what she's learning for the new show! It's good that she is enjoying herself overseas, as I mentioned at the beginning, Jess has been grieving this week after her beloved Maltipoo Daisy, who was dog-napped by coyotes from Jessica's Hollywood Hills backyard. So tragic! Jess has had Daisy for almost five years, given to her as a puppy from ex Nick Lachey. While Jess copes and moves on with her work, friends commented to People about how much her pooch meant to her: "Whenever things went wrong for Jessica, she reached for Daisy… Daisy was her security blanket. When people let her down, she always had Daisy." Such a heartbreaking story!
