Lightening up in NYC, Jessica Alba poses in a fun n' flirty frock outside the Ed Sullivan Theatre on her way to tape "The Late Show with David Letterman" on August 30. Jess made her way to New York this week to promote her violent new film Machete, which opens in theatres September 3. Earlier in the day Jess stopped by the Sirius XM studio for an interview, changing out of her all black ensemble into a flirty ruffled turquoise mini for her evening appearance (get the girly look with Isabel Lu's Perfectly Pleated Dress in Turquoise, Luc by Lucy's Abstract Polka Dot Dani Dress in Mint Polka or Moschino Cheap & Chic's Moschino Dress in Cream). Jess showed off her legs for days with the super short frock, but I have mixed feelings about the blue velvet heels she chose (something lighter yet still unique like Farylrobin's Jayden in Taupe might have worked better). Do you think the heels work or is she trying too hard? Jess swept her hair back for the appearance, showing off her toned arms and shoulders. I don't know about you but I think Jess looks positively radiant here, what are your thoughts? Jessica's last few roles have definitely been appropriate for adults only, and when interviewed by FOX Pop Tarts Jess admitted she wants to have more work she can show her daughter: "I think there is a nice balance (between “family friendly” and more adult films) but it would be fun to do more films that my daughter can see. I like finding a character who finds herself, finds strengths and actually uses her damn stilettos (for a purpose) instead of just killing her feet." It sounds like her dreams may come true – Jess is in talks to appear in the next Spy Kids film as a retired spy who mentors her stepchildren. Sounds like a great positive female influence for Honor!
