STAYING OUT OF HEADLINES

"The City" castmember Olivia Palermo made an appearance at Diesel's "Only the Brave" Concert, which was held at Capitale in Chinatown, NYC, last night, August 26, going for a sort of edgy-nautical look as she posed on the red carpet. Olivia chose a sailor-inspired red and white striped frock (for more casual striped options on CoutureCandy, check out Ella Moss' Laurel Dress in Mediterranean or James Perse's Stripe Drop Dress in Charcoal) that she paired with a white collared button-up (try James Perse's Button Down Shirt in White) that was accented by a navy silk bow and chunky chain necklace. For the rest of her look, Palermo chose an enviable black Chanel clutch (check out Zambos and Siega's Peggy Clutch in Black for a more wallet-friendly option), a silver braided bracelet (very similar to Accessories & Beyond's Braided Leather Bracelet with Magnet Clasp in Silver) and simple black ankle booties. She completed her look with a sophisticated, pulled-back hairstyle, a red manicure, and studded jewel earrings. What are your thoughts on Olivia's look everyone - do you love it or do you hate it? I can see the comments going either way on this one. Unlike some of her MTV contemporaries, Olivia tends to do a pretty good job of staying out of the headlines, and focusing on her current internship at Elle. It has just been announced that both the new season of "The Hills" and "The City" will premiere on MTV on September 29, and I'm sure many of you are anxious to catch the latest goings-on of Whitney, Olivia, Audrina, Lo, and the rest.
