"SOMETHING PLUNGING ON THE RED CARPET"

The lovely Thandie Newton made an appearance at The Summer Party held at London’s Serpentine Gallery on July 9, rocking a beautifully colorful look from Matthew Williamson Resort 2010 Collection. For a similar look to Thandie's gorgeous silk watercolor dress, check out Single's selection printed silk dresses (like the Low V-Neck Dress with Chain Belt in Fuchsia Multi or the V-Neck Dress with Tie in Aqua / Black), Prairie New York's Ashley Dress in Picket Fence, which has a similar silhouette to Thandie's MW choice, or Black Halo's luxurious Racer Back Dress with Pockets in Jade. Newton then accessorized her look with a fashion-forward pair of nude Matthew Williamson heels, a studded belt (like Motif 56's Piper Belt in Natural) and an embellished blue silk clutch. What do you think of Thandie's look here - does she rock it or not? Personally, I always think she looks classy and gorgeous, especially so in this beautiful dress which really suits her skin tone. Her sleek hair with the oh-so-playful side part finishes off her look. Thandie attended the art soiree with director hubby Ol Parker, in addition to other celebs like Mario Testino, singer Natalie Imbruglia, Pharrell Williams, and UK singing sensation Will Young. Thandie has pretty much always kept it classy on the carpet, as two years ago today she was quoted as saying, "Celebrity these days is just about wearing something plunging on the red carpet. I think Liz Hurley wearing that Versace dress started it all." Do you agree with her sentiments about the current state of celebrity (or at least the state of celebrity in 2007?).
